Students will learn the safe and effective operation of various sizes of one of the following machines: Excavators, the Loader, the Dozer, the Grader, the Articulated Rock Truck and the Rubber Tire Backhoe. Throughout the 3 weeks of training, students will receive a total of 110 hours. These hours encompass daily machine training, classroom training, and safety ticket training.
As students progress through the course, the tasks required on the machines become more involved and challenging to ensure that they have the required skills to operate the machine in a real work situation.
ALL IHE COURSES automatically include four (4) standard safety tickets: CSTS, WHMIS, Ground Disturbance Level 2 & First Aid. Your Student Advisor will review other recommended tickets like H2S Alive, TDG & CSO, which are commonly required to access work/job sites.
If you already have any included safety tickets (and proof), you won’t need to retake them.
IHE would like to acknowledge that our corporate offices, as well as our training sites are located on the traditional, ancestral, unceded territory of the Syilx Okanagan, Treaty 6 and Treaty 7 people of Canada.
